Multiple time frames: do the frames agree?
Several time frames pointing the same way strengthen a signal; frames that contradict each other tell you the short-term move is running against the big picture.
In the ‘Time frames’ lesson you learned that each chart answers a different question. This lesson goes one step further: reading the frames together. With the tabs above you can open the same stock on the 1-hour, 4-hour and daily charts. On each, look at the order of the averages (orange 20, light grey 50, dark grey 200) and the RSI below.
If all three frames point the same way, that is, the averages are in the same order on all of them and RSI is on the same side on all of them, the move is supported on every scale. It means a short-term move fits the big picture. If the frames contradict each other, for example an advance on the daily while there is a sharp decline on the 1-hour, the short-term move may be a pullback inside the big trend; or the first sign that the big trend is starting to change.
The ‘God's Eye’ in a BBL analysis does exactly this: it measures five time frames at once, counts how many point the same way and draws the result as a ladder under the evidence card. The ‘scale agreement’ layer on the evidence card says whether the same trend is visible at different resolutions.
Agreement is not a certainty; but if you open a trade in a disagreeing environment, it is a conscious decision as long as you know it and shrink your risk accordingly.
How to read it
- Read from big to small: the daily sets the main direction, the 4-hour the intermediate direction, and the 1-hour last of all the entry timing.
- Count the agreement: how many frames point the same way? If all do, the move is supported on every scale.
- Be careful when they conflict: if the small frame runs against the big one, think in two scenarios — a pullback opportunity or the first sign of a trend change.
- Use the number on the God's Eye ladder (for example 4/5) as a summary; verify the detail on each frame's chart.

Trap
The most common mistake is waiting for all five of five frames to agree: this is very rare and often shows the move has already matured and the entry is late. The second mistake is taking every contradiction on the small frame as the end of the trend: a 1-hour dip inside a daily advance is usually an ordinary breather.
Tip
With God's Eye on in the analysis screen, the ladder under the evidence card shows each frame's score and RSI. The suggested ‘horizon’ points to the time frame where the agreement is strongest.
